Greetings all

I've just got the E-per parts CD and have spent the last few days salivating over all the parts that are on there.

Although the disc shows that most parts are "orderable" I'm not sure how up to date it is (I think it says 2003 somewhere).
For example, I was looking at parts for my P4 Recaro seats and the disc says that both the base (cushion) and the back are available albeit at about £350 a piece and I wondered if this is really the case as these cars haven't been made since about 1992.
There are loads of other bits on the disc that I'd be really delighted to get hold of (rubber seals, body panels etc etc), but before I get shot down in disappointment when I speak to a main stealer, can anyone confirm the likelihood of being able to get these parts?

Bobber, you seem to on the ball in this area, do you have some contacts on the inside?

Sorry about missing out the middle 'b', hope I didn't cause offence - I've put in a few extras this time to make up for it!!

Thanks for the advice - I just got excited about maybe being able to refurbish my Recaros as well as being able to get some other bits to help with my eventual restoration. I've often used Mangoletsi in the past and they're very helpful - they got me some new 16v side skirts via Aberdeen from France!!

As you say, although there ain't many left here, there must be thousands of 33s still going in Europe and I'm sure with the prices that Alfa Romeo charge for parts it will still be lucrative to supply them.

I'll have a search through the disc and put together my wish list

Yes it is quite amazing. I go through the disc - choose a few small, cheap items I'm after.... print out the order sheet and BLAM..... £500

Another interesting point is that I never seem to pay the price it says on ePer at the main dealer. Sometimes I seem to pay more but mostly it's cheaper..... Explain that one!

They also have another peice of software which checks availability - this gives them the correct price at the time.

On the left side of this site is a box labelled 'Circa'. Type an Alfa part number into this, and it tells you what the part is! But I have no idea if you can order from this site or what - it just looks like a parts lookup??? If anyone knows otherwise - I'd be interested to hear!!!!! I think I need to talk to an Italian on MSN!

Hi,

Many small parts (that are still) available come in batches of say 10, and the dealer will probably make you pay for and take the lot.

E.G Hub Nuts, sumpplug washers etc etc.

When Alfa had a funny turn and dished out loads of franchises during the early 90s, a localish Citroen dealer took one. When i went in for spares for a sprint (made til 1989) in 1994, it was an absolute farce. They didn't do Alfa for long.

Amersham Motors (perrys of amersham now) have been alfa dealers for at least 25 years. They keep very little in stock, but are happy to look stuff up -they know what a 33 is too!

Well, I've just made a fair sized order from Mangoletsi - and they can get ALL the parts I wanted (apart from a peice of trim I was after) for early next week.

I'Ve been investigating one of those too Al!

I spoke to the UK distributor for CSC and they seemed to imply that they can't get one, I've looked at the CSC website and it isn't listed, so I've e-mailed them but have had no reply.

I've also found a company in Holland (www.alfa-strada.nl) that also list it - its £368 euros (approx. £250) and I've e-mailed them to see if they have one. I'll let you know how I get on. Next step is a sports cat (www.sportcats.co.uk) - about £330.

This manifold seems to be the same pattern as a cat equipped car has but I suspect that the bores will be a bit larger and the flow of gas more efficient. In my experience CSC stuff is very good.

Thanks Rich B, i await your findings with anticipation. I have a cat on my 16v wich has an original alfa crossover type manifold on it, however the csc on has equal lenght pipes, which is supposed to be the best, but im not sure if the cost is worth the difference?

i would imagine you would only really notice any difference if you were to modify the engine as well, as an exhaust wont make massive difference by itself (... so they say)
