Dear Alfistas
6 months ago I bought a pair of new series-III headlamps because the factory ones (12 years old) were eaten up on the inside by the moisture of all these years.
First thing I 've managed to sort out was the height of the beams but I have a feeling that they need adjustment on the horizontal plane. As my car is a RHD I think that they do not aim leftish enough. I 've noticed that on the lower part of the headlamps body I can see another adjusting screw of some kind. What is its purpose?
Can anyone help me to DIY adjust my headlamps on my car?
Thanks in advance _________________ 1994 Alfa 33 1.5 IE Cat. 220.000Kms and still going strong!!! (Από την Αθήνα και τώρα στην Λευκωσία) |

Headlamp reflector has 3 mounting screws, 2 out of that 3 can be adjusted/ have black plastic endings. 3rd one is fixed lenght.
Adjusting adjustibe 2 screws u actually rotate reflector around that fixed mount.
If you play too much with it reflector will pop out of fixed lenght mount and it's pain to put it back.
Simply reflector "vertical" plain is defined by right angle triangle. Fixed lengh screw is in 90 deg corner while adjusting screws ar on ends of triangle hypotenuse.
Take triangle somewhere and play with it in hands, you'll soon figure out what you need to screw/unscrew to get that. _________________ Tino Vatavuk
