Hi,
It's that time of year again Just wondered if any of you knew of any companies that could get my current quote of £184 TPFT down a bit. I always thought the older you get the cheaper your insurance is?? I just seem to get older (balder) with increasing cost
Is classic insurance the way to go?? |

Hi Lee,
Had my 33 16v on classic insurance a few years back when i had a usable garage. I now find it about the same money fully comp (£250ish) with elephant, 3k/year, car on drive.
Putting the Mrs on knocks off about a ton, even though swill never ever drive it - her words.
She is just about to buy my brothers 145 2.0 clover, and that is gonna cost about £520 as she has no no claims bonus, after having had a company car for the last 5 years.
Getting older does make it cheaper. A 17 year old pays about £1500 TPFT for some worthless 1.1 nova, corsa, fiesta etc etc

Are you a member of the owners club? Usually good for -10% but the cost of membership might outweigh the saving as your premium is already quite low.
They don't keep up your No Claims Bonus on the camper that I have on a classic policy so you may want to check that.
We're with Adrian Flux for the 1.7i.e. and they are quoting LESS money for the P4 which makes no sence at all.
Chris Knott are the other fellas connected with the AROC.I've got a big old list of companies at work which I'll post on monday if you need so other ideas? |

Yeah John, my missus says the same......she hates the beloved 33. Still, it suits me fine, at least she's not trashing it with her crap driving. Better hope she doesn't see this post though eh.... |

I just paid 289 quid for mine, but that's fully comp with full breakdown cover here and in Europe. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV
