Fit is very important. And with mail order you cannot try them on to find the ons that fit.

The Simpson lids do look good but don't fit me (and I don't think they are UK road legal for bikes).

All the best

Looks good.

You're a brave man bringing a crossmember and an exhaust manifold into the lounge though Rich Laughing

At 170~180mph they would not have to wait long for my neck to give up or the petrol to run out.

All the best

Can someone confirm this is the way the anti-roll bar should go on?

I ask because the one I have seemed to be upside-down compared with this one I saw on a french forum. Thanks! Wink

Thanks for the quick response. I'll be putting it on my '94 1.3i.e. this weekend. It came off an '88 series 2 33 1.5Ti which I bought for spares.

I was hoping to renew all the rubbers on it but the local Alfa dealer here could only find one of the two to go on the ends of the bar. So I'll put the old ones back on until I can find another. The chap was very helpful and made a few phonecalls but they're obviously hard to come by. Anyone know somewhere in England I might find one? Part number is 60505020.

Thanks again. Smile

Thanks for the offer.

The old pair I have are pretty dry and cracked. I haven't changed the crossmember yet in the hope that a new one shows up. I'll keep hunting here.

The compessable foam inside is what absorbs decellerative G forces so that the brain in its' fluid doesn't smack up against the skull. Therefor if one doesn't want to risk a lobotomy the inner condition is just as important as the outer and one of the main reasons that it is recommended to discard a helmet after a significant crash. The outer could look fairly pristine but inner protection is a use once only.
Regards Eddie
