Had issues with battery charging and cooling when idling for some time.

Scratching my head and getting other parts replaced not solving the issue.

From a good source it was discovered that the pulley was 1 piece with 2 pulleys, outer pulley 122mm and inner 58mm.

So the alternator and water pump were running on the 58mm pulley!

It is meant to be on the 122mm pulley. They were running at half speed.

Found a good workshop who are going to use a lathe and modify the one piece pulley so the inner one is 122mm.
Only this is needed on my S2.

They will basically shave off the inner 58mm.

Also the crankshaft nut was only 29mm when the original is 36mm.

Looks like someone made a mess of that.

Should be ready in a couple of days.

Smile

Good work chap, shame you can't get it made out of alloy! Less weight for the engine Wink

The A/C I installed and later removed because it was pathetic was also on this 58mm pulley.

The A/C I found out should be on a 126mm pulley!!!!!!
Maybe when I have some more cash I'll get a alloy double pulley made and re-install the A/C.

Missing the special union but I think there's one in the country I can get hold of.

Would the compressor running at twice the speed make a big difference in the amount of cold air coming out?

Wish I had known about the pulley before releasing all the gas from the system and taking out the equipment.

Still got the condenser inside the cabin though.

If I can get the special union maybe I'll reinstall it, and if I can get some cheap gas to refill it. Not cheap here.
