Anyone know what the sensors are for in the throttle bodies and heads. I assume assume one is water temp and maybe one is for overtemp but I am a bit stumped on the third. Any ideas? |

Looking from front of car.
One on left top head is for water temp.
One in middle is for oil preassure warrning lamp.
One on right behind is for overheating lamp. _________________ Tino Vatavuk

Weird! Why don't they just run the overheating lamp off the water temp sensor using a bit of electronics? That would be more reliable, cos you already know if your water temp sensor is working. _________________ "Now, all that is left to do ... is wait that something else brokens, to fix up again!" |

The one in the middle of the block is for oil pressure.
In each of the throttle bodies there is a sensor which goes into the water flow. There is also a sensor which bolts onto the back of one of the heads. If one is for the water temp warning light and the other is for actual water temp what is the third for? |

Because rear part of boxer engine is one that heats most. Engine is water cooled but air flow also plays big role in cooling engine. _________________ Tino Vatavuk
